Stratificational Grammar
Artist: Jennie Hernandez-St. John and students from Wichita State University and South High School
Created: unknown
Media: unknown
Location: Bottom of stairs in connecting lobby between Bob Brown Expo Hall and the other Halls.
Plaque: This mural was created by the collaboration of the artist, Jennie Hernandez-St. John, and her students from Wichita State University and South High School. This imagery reflects the emotional drama of various personalities carried on within the stratifications of life. Individual tiles were made, knowing that they would be conjugated as one, and the motivating pebbles surrounding them were designed to be a visual flux to mesh together the many personalities involved. This exhibit is presented, in part, by the Kansas Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
