Carl A. Bell, Jr. Convention Hall provides tiered seating for 5,012 people for general sessions and stage productions. If an exhibit or center-room entertainment is on the main floor, up to 4,100 people can be seated. All seats are directional to the 60' x 33' stage. The stage is 41' deep with the proscenium, which is 60' wide x 29' high.

Convention Hall offers the flexibility of removable risers making 33,500 square feet of exhibit space available and opens to the adjacent Exhibition Hall for a total of 97,500 square feet of exhibit space.  The hall also opens to Bob Brown Expo Hall. Convention Hall provides 120 8' x 10' booths and has an infrared assisted listening system.

On October 16, 2001, Convention Hall was dedicated as the Carl A. Bell, Jr. Convention Hall, to recognize Carl A. Bell, Jr., former City Commissioner (1961-62, 1963-65) and Wichita Mayor (1962-63), for his dedicated service and outstanding lifetime commitment to the City of Wichita.
