Carl A. Bell, Jr. Convention Hall provides seating for 5,022 people for general sessions and stage productions. The permanent stage is 41' deep with a proscenium that is 60' wide x 29' high.  The hall has an infrared assisted listening system.

Convention Hall offers the flexibility of retractable loge seating, which then provides 32,000 square feet of open floor space for exhibits and banquet functions. Convention Hall provides enough space for 120 8' x 10' booths and banquet seating for 1,100 people. The hall opens to the adjacent Exhibition Hall for a total of 97,500 square feet of exhibit space.

On October 16, 2001, Convention Hall was dedicated as the Carl A. Bell, Jr. Convention Hall, to recognize Carl A. Bell, Jr., former City Commissioner (1961-62, 1963-65) and Wichita Mayor (1962-63), for his dedicated service and outstanding lifetime commitment to the City of Wichita.
